Shipping

After ordering online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details from sales@hillarysboatshop.com.au. Your order will normally be confirmed within a 24 hours of you placing the order.

It is our policy to ensure we deliver to our customers in a timely manner. In order to achieve this we use a range of freight companies depending on the size and weight of your order. In some instances we may use a number of carriers to get your products to you. For example, chain may come by road, some electronic equipment by air.

International orders will be contacted by a staff member by email with a shipping quote. If the quote is not accepted the customer reserves the right to cancel their order. No payment will be taken until all costs associated with the order have been finalised and agreed to.

Inspection of Goods

It is your responsibility to check the completeness of the shipment against what was ordered and listed on the Tax Invoice. Any visible damage to packaging must be documented and photographed and notification made to the freight courier on delivery. Hillarys Boat Shop must be advised in writing (email) along with proof of damage within two working days of receiving the shipment.

Returns

We do not supply goods on approval and goods cannot be returned without our prior approval. Our goods are supplied with Australian Guarantees where stated in the products documentation. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a "major failure". What constitutes a "major failure" will be determined under the terms of the manufacturer's warranty and they can choose to repair or replace. Pack all items carefully including all original accessories and/ or warranty card with your proof of purchase into a secure satchel/ carton. Be sure your package is insured for freight and any other costs are prepaid. We don't accept responsibility for non-returned parcels, so make sure you use a track & trace freight method. Please note that items which have been cut to length or come with an expiry date may not be returned for credit, this includes, but is not limited to, EPIRBs, Flares Fire and Fire Extinguishers.

We do not accept returns for goods after 7 days from the date of purchase. Any refund will be made in the same way as you originally paid and will be processed against the original credit cardholder details. Always contact Hillarys Boat Shop and wait for our instructions before returning any goods. Please note a restocking fee of up to 20% maybe charged for goods returned.
